Lynn Johnson

Lynn D. Johnson trained therapists in positive psychology and rapid treatment and coaching techniques from all over the country, literally from Fairbanks, Alaska to Key West, Florida. He has also consulted to programs and organizations in Japan, England, Germany, and Spain.

Lynn helped mental health centers to become more outcome oriented and client-focused. He was instrumental in creating solution-focused counseling techniques that have influenced thousands of therapists in the U.S.A. and overseas. While working with therapists he realized that solution-focused thinking can empower all types of organizations.

In 1995 he began applying solution-focused tools to larger organizations. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Utah, teaches in the management department, and has also taught at the MBA program at BYU. He has written two books and over thirty articles. He pioneered the use of measurement tools in executive coaching to assure
positive outcomes.

His other activities include helping ski teams improve performance through mental training. He has been a mental training coach to three ski teams and a number of world class athletes, and harnessed the same peak performance principles to coaching executives.
